Paul Turley
Paul’s love affair with music began at the age of 14 when he picked up an electric guitar and a Hendrix CD which really opened his eyes to what is possible. He loved the sound which inspired him to want to play like that. He very soon expanded his musical horizon and started to listen to other bands like Led Zeppelin and Cream and also Blues and Jazz. In his teens he wanted to form a band, encouraging his two sisters to join him at “Rock School” and performing his first Live performance on the main stage of The Stables Theatre in Milton Keynes.
At Queens College Cambridge Paul obtained an MSc in Materials Science, whilst in his spare time creating his own original music. He joined a local Meatloaf Tribute band, playing regular gigs in the UK. However, his real passion was to create and perform original music with like-minded musicians. He got the opportunity to do so when in 2004 he joined a newly formed band called Albany Down. Following the early departure of band members, Paul continued with the band recruiting all new members (past and present) and recording 4 Studio albums with Producer Greg Haver.
